2009–2020 | Interactive visitor experiences | Gibson Group International
Award-winning interactive touch wall experiences in Copenhagen, Cairo, El Paso and Christchurch.
AKM Services has worked with Gibson Group since 2009 to realise multiple interactive multimedia installations for the public and private sector.
Starting with Væggen in Copenhagen, AKM Services staff has worked with Gibson Group in New Zealand on a series of interactive touch screen installations in various locations worldwide. They are in use by museums, cities, and companies.
Typically, a TouchCity™ installation consists of one or more touch screens on which a 3d landscape built from 2d images unfolds and can be explored by visitors. Images in the landscape can be selected to retrieve more information. Visitors can add to the collection by uploading their own images, either at the location of the installation, or via a supporting website. Images can be shared and commented on, opening up a dialogue between museum or company and the public.
Frank was the database and content management expert and Lisette was part of the team developing a solid user experience for the first, multi-award-winning Væggen installation in Copenhagen. Since then, AKM Services has worked with Gibson Group on the technical side to design, develop and deploy installations in Egypt, Australia, the USA and New Zealand. We ensure the installations run smoothly and securely and are responsible for bug-fixing and maintenance.
Learn more about GibsonWalls ›My company has worked with the principals of AKM Services for over ten years now, and I have nothing but praise both for their technical expertise and for their dedication and commitment to designing and implementing both front and back end components of our interactive digital projects in innovative but robust ways. And they are great communicators, which makes project management a breeze. I totally recommend them.
